BREWERY WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE/DELIVERY DRIVER

Location: Almanac Brewery in Alameda, CA with weekly deliveries to San Francisco & Greater SF Bay Area
Hours: Full-time, 9:00AM - 5:30PM
Compensation: $18-21/hour. Almanac offers full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off).
Reports to: Warehouse Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
Almanac Beer Co is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to join our small team in our production facility in Alameda. The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver will execute shipping & receiving, deliver weekly beer orders to our SF taproom, maintain inventory control, warehouse organization and cleanliness, and assist with production operations. This position requires the flexibility to assist where needed, and offers many growth opportunities. We are looking for someone with unwavering commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Forklift certification is a must.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Forklift operation: Main operator for all material handling in brewery. Safely load & unload freight from trailers.
• Shipping & receiving: Building wholesale & taproom orders, staging and shipping, receiving deliveries
• Warehouse organization and cleanliness: Organize brewery work areas & warehouse storage areas. Daily janitorial maintenance of warehouse including daily warehouse cleaning, mopping and floor scrubber operation
• Inventory management: Ensure all inventory is accurately placed and accounted for in the brewery, including all finished goods, dry goods, and materials. Conduct weekly and monthly physical inventory counts
• Delivery driving: Safely operate Sprinter Van or box truck to make deliveries to our SF taproom and Greater Bay Area customers within 150 mile radius of Alameda warehouse. Manually load and unload full kegs of beer on and off delivery vehicle and deliver to our SF Taproom and Bay Area customers.
• Assist the production team with all packaging operations (keg cleaning, bottling, canning & kegging)
• Dump kegs & cases of out of code product
• Assist the production team with barrel cleaning, barrel moving and organization
• Assist the operations team in various facility maintenance tasks and facility improvement projects
• Record Keeping: Detailed records of all work performed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to engage in physical activities and manual labor where prolonged standing, walking, & heavy lifting is part of the day-to-day
• Ability to routinely lift and move heavy objects, including 30 lb cases and full kegs of beer up to 100 lbs
• Ability to safely and efficiently work in a manufacturing setting with wide temperature ranged environment and close quartered environment

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Forklift certification required
• 2+ years forklift operation experience required
• Pre-employment background check and DMV check required
• Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, well-functioning warehouse
• Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
• Extreme attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and self-starting attitude with a desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
• Ability to manage multiple processes at one time
