  • Tap handles in PA

Some basic questions I hope someone can help me with. If I sell a keg of my beer to a bar, I believe PA has some regulations regarding a tap handle. Do I need to provide a handle that identifies the brand, or would a handle with my company logo be sufficient? Obviously having to make up one tap handle (vs. one for each different beer) would be more economical.

If anyone can point me to the regulations regarding this I'd appreciate it.

Also, any recommendations for a good/inexpensive supplier of custom tap handles?

    Thanks!

    Guy:

Did you ever find out an answer to this? I've been trying to look for the same information.

    Thanks,

    Bill

      Tap Marker

In Pennsylvania you have to list the beer name on your marker. It also must be a beer registered with the PLCB. We got our markers from Chrislan Ceramics they are porcelin and have Church Brew Works embossed on the side. There is a blank side that we print out the beer name and adhere to the blank side so that we are in compliance.
