  • How are you spending your Brewery Bail-out $?

Man, a bailout would be sweet if it didn't come out of our own pockets.

How would you spend a windfall to better your operation in 2009 and why.

    New Toys....of course.

First: A new Bright Tank. Two would be perfect.
Second: An Ozone generator to save money on sanitizer. (In the long run at least).
And if there was any money left I'd either invest in a new fermenter or hire another helper.

Looks like I'll start off the new year by buying a new pump for my DE filter - unless the previous owner happens to have one lying around? Motor burned up on it this morning, with 80 bbls of beer waiting to be filtered. Good times.

Bummer. Sorry, I don't have a spare, may have another bag of gaskets though.

                    Let's see:
                    1. Get ourselves current with our lenders to hold off foreclosure.
                    2. Get ourselves current with our very patient friends at North Country Malt Supply.
                    3. Catch up on all of our other suppliers' and vendors' bills.
                    4. Buy more t-shirts and hats - we've been out for 4 months.
                    5. Spend more money on marketing and advertising.
                    6. PAY MYSELF A LIVING WAGE!
                    7. More tanks.
                    8. More kegs.
                    9. More growlers.
                    10. More beer styles.

How 'bout a bunch of us get together and represent the entire craft beer industry and submit a request for a bailout. I hear the insurance companies will be the next ones to ask, but if we act quickly, we might be able to get in before they do. Who's in?
