  • Who's brewery was the new Star Trek movie filmed in?

Just watched it last night. Most of the shots in "Engineering" had to be shot in a big brewery. I am thinking an AB plant somewhere.

    you caught that too?

I just saw it last night, i kept telling my girlfriend things like "those look lagering tanks". And then the things i kept seeing that looked like kegs with something covering the chime. It was definately some sort of food/beverage/dairy facility or a brewery.

    mmm space beer!

Can't say for the Star Trek Movie but next time you watch Iron Man (Robert Downy JR.) the scenes where the BIG arc reactor exist in Tony Starks factory is a brewery (Granite City Brewery I believe). They are some large 120 BBL +/- dish bottom brites with hazmat stickers on them and Spadoni DE filters in the background!!!

Unfortunately there will be no space beer. Drinking carbonated beverages in zero G gives you "wet burps".

Hey, shouldn't you be brewing or something?

I'm sure you can find a torrent of the movie by now and do further research, with beer in hand.

(maybe burn a copy for your local brewer friends)
          Cheers & I'm out!

The Enterprise is under a generated gravity field isnt it?

Of course it is, you can't drink Romulan Ale in zero G!!

Forgot to add....I don't know how the Enterprise could be expected to operate with an engineering section like that..for me, the only turn off in the movie!!

Obviously, beer is crucial to warp technology! Perhaps the dilithium crystals make a good IPA?

That's not true. It was harder to find my bed, though.

Yep I found a link somewhere that said it was the AB plant in Van Nuys.
