We use Star-San. If it's below 3.5pH it'll kill up to 99% in 30 seconds, according to former owner Charlie Talley.
A word about Chlorine Dioxide as a spray. It kills at about 8 ppm w/ aprox 3-5 min contact time. If using as spray on application, it was recommended to us to use as twice that rate.--

alpet D2 surface sanitizer is by far the best sanitizer for sterile sample taking. you should be able to get it from your regular chemical provider. i've had 7 years of successful sterile sampling in the dirtiest of breweries by using alpet. its safe non rinse, and i never use a propane torch to light it up.Last edited by safety man; 05-11-2010, 10:27 AM.
