After a little searching, I could not find the following info, so I figured I would post here on probrewer.com
For Barley Malt, how many pounds are in 1 cubic foot?
For Wheat Malt, how many pounds are in 1 cubic foot?
I was thinking barley malt is about 45# per cf... is that close?
I have the opportunity to purchase two very nice, fairly new, used silos that were used for food grade plastic pellets. They are corrugated and quite large.
My best guess is they are 12ft in diameter by 25-30feet tall.
I am hoping to just use one... will this big enough for 70,000 pounds of Pale malt.
Thanks in advance for the help.
