methane and ethanol from waste?

Is anyone using brewery waste (spent grain and waste beer) to produce ethanol or methane? And if so how are you producing/collecting/using it?

New Belgium has a plant installed onsite that captures gas from the digesting/treatment of its waste water and yeast. Big money operation though.
