No, not really. Much depends on the quality of the hose, materials of construction, frequency of use, how hot your CIP regimen is, working pressures & water hammer, abuse, end connection style, and other factors. I've seen them last 10 years with care. Just like everything else you depend on to make a great product, frequent inspection is in order. Common failure modes include delamination of the sheath from the liner, reinforcement failure, gradual relaxation of the material under the bands--which loosens the ferrules, small chips or bubbles in the liner, flattening of areas from either stepping on the hose or from high suction loads like positive displacement pumps. With a really good QC program, you'll have plates from hoses that show consistent low counts. Otherwise, if you do your due diligence with respect to inspections, you should be fine.
