Consider this a group therapy post, we submitted on June 15 and are still waiting too.

Seems the TTB is really bogged down right now. I've got a streak of 4 straight weeks where the rep promised to look at our package the next week.

I had a phone conversation with the agent assigned to my application about 3 weeks ago and got an email back with a long list of corrections and additions to complete my application. I could see if you have a complex application with many corrections that it could go back and forth for a while.
I am a one-owner operation with a very simple building layout, so that probably helped a bit.

We finally got ours last week! Our only major rework was getting an amendment to the bond form to list the county we are in. So note to anyone else, make sure your bond lists your county.

Otherwise, once it was actually marked it was being worked in the system it was like a day. Coincidentally, it was marked as being worked like a couple of days after I was harassing them (ok, maybe not harassing but nicely pointing out) about why it was taking so long.

I had been speaking directly to the assigned agent, which didn't seem to help, usually got a "I'll look at it next week" for like 6 weeks straight. Once I started asking to the general help line, it started getting worked. Might have been a coincidence, don't know.

It might depend on the agent. A word of advice: they're people too and they're being overloaded with applications while at the same time having their funding cut. Being appreciative and understanding will get your farther than being rude and demanding. I got an email with a list of additional information required within hours of speaking with the agent assigned to the project.

Be nice to anyone that can make your life a living hell because being rude to them will ensure they will do their best to do so.

Licence approval time

Submitted TTB 4-3-12 approved 8-8-12 = 4 months
CO State: submitted 7-16-12 approved 11-19-12: 4 months

Label submissions: 12-1-12 (for an id) to ???? prob January 5th ish?
CO State distributors license: 11-23-12 to... prob sometime in 2013...

State said that I had to get another license to sell growlers and self distribute, so I got that underway. TTB inspector wanted me to make minor modifications to the premises, and get label approval for the serving tanks. Doing that now. I wish someone would have told me that when I asked, "is there anything else I need to do to sell beer?" O well, at least I can brew beer.

This process has been very frustrating, and expensive. Thankfully I have another job to defray costs.

We are still waiting. Submitted ours on 10/15/2012 and since early December our rep has been saying "this week". Each week we feel like we are getting a little further but then another week goes by.

We have answered all their questions over email and submitted any additional documents. Our online status still says "initial review" as it did since 10/30.

Any recommendations?
