  • Packaging Leader Needed

    Lakewood Brewing Company in Garland, Texas is growing very quickly and is seeking a detail oriented individual with initiative and respect for team-work to lead the packaging department. Mechanical aptitude is a must! Prior experience with a rotary filler, labeler and keg filler/washer is preferred. This is a physically demanding position that entails maintaining/running machinery on the bottling line, keeping track of packaging inventory and coordinating employees and volunteers on packaging days. Experience in the industry is highly recommended.

    On non-packaging days the person in this position will be required to help in other parts of the brewery.

    This is a full time position. We are a young but growing company and we are a place where hard work is rewarded and appreciated. Not a homebrewer with aspirations.

    Key parts of this position entail:
    • quality, integrity, respect, safety, sanitation, efficiency
    • operating high speed machinery, scheduled maintenance
    • maintaining records, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting
    • replacing defective equipment, equipment repair, pneumatics
    • forklift operation
    • lifting 50lbs, maneuvering 135lb kegs
    • working near moving machines in a loud/wet/hot/cold environment
    • color vision, punctuality, reliability, professionalism
    • ability to see tasks through, communication, posses interest in our culture
    • ability to adjust to a changing, fast pace production schedule, work overtime and weekends if necessary
    • must be able to wear ear and eye protection, work with chemicals
    • desire to learn and willingness to be taught/instructed, as well as be able to teach and instruct
    • good organization skills, maintain cleanliness, and a positive/fun attitude
