  • Hops for Tropical Fruit Flavor/Aroma?

Over the past couple years I developed a beer based heavily on Citra, because apparently I'm an idiot. Now that I'm hoping to commercialize it, I need to find a hop (or blend) that will at least approximate that mango/papaya/pineapple character, while also being something I can actually *buy*. Motueka? Calypso? Haven't brewed with either yet. Galaxy would fit the bill but isn't much more available, so it seems. Maybe with the southern hemisphere harvest around the corner there's hope. Any thoughts?

Beer is like porn. You can buy it, but it's more fun to make your own.

If you want a bunch of pineapple flavor, maybe try a mix of BA-11 and whatever your typical yeast is. It's sensitive, so there shouldn't be any problems mixing it with beer yeast.

I use a blend of 75% BSI-5 25% BSI-7 for my IPA. FWH with Centennial, flavor with Amarillo EOB with Citra, and dry hop with Simcoe and Citra. First thing I taste is Pineapple with a mild mango flavor. I never get that with any other yeast strain in the same beer.
