  • PLCB Conditional Approval

I am opening a brewery in PA in the same space as a distillery, which is a separate business. The PLCB has mandated a 9' dividing wall completely separating the two spaces. They have granted me a provisional license, pending completion of that wall and other construction as per my application. In their words the brewery needs to be "ready to be fully operational" which is a little ambiguous. They gave me six months from the date of issuing the provisional license to complete the work and it appears that I will be over that time frame by about a month.

Anyone else had this type of situation with the PLCB and went slightly over the time frame they gave you to comply with whatever provisions they put in place, and if yes, did you ask for an extension or simply moved ahead and let them know what you are ready? I have my fed permit in hand and do not want to have my project delayed by the state.

Any sharing of similar experiences and the outcome would be most appreciated!!

    Cheers
    Andrew
