  • Typical Yield on a 30 BBL system

Hello! I am looking to engage in a contract brewing agreement with a brewery. We are looking to make a lager in a 30 bbl system. What is the typical yield after burn off and loss to beer due to kegging? Can we expect 28 bbls at the end of it? 26 bbls?

    THANKS!

You have to start with the amount of wort you want in your fermenter. This is limited by gravity of your beer and size of your equipment. If you get 30 bbls in your fermenter you can loose up to 20% of that, but you may not loose that much. Losses will depend greatly on process.
    good luck,
    Ed
