Responsibilities
Perform all daily duties but not limited to: brew house operations, tank and environmental cleaning, yeast handling.
Perform all maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
Perform all duties in a safe manner.
Work as scheduled or required for production.
Requirements
1-2 years Head Brewer experience, or 3+ years as an assistant brewer and an interest in general brewing.
Formal training in brewing (Diploma or Master brewer) is an asset.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work on 1BBL, 3BBL and 15BBL System
Ability to work in extreme cold/heat, and frequently wet conditions.
Work well within a team environment.
Able to work all shifts.
Attention to detail.
• Yeast management & Hop management, performing yeast cell counts and microbiological analysis
• Equipment maintenance
• Cask production
• Recipe Development and follow through
• Keeping the brewery clean and organized
• Working with others to refine standard operating procedures
• Consistently evaluating the quality of raw materials during everyday operations
• Providing creative input on beer styles, beer choices and purveyors
• Attendance at off-site promotional events, along with in-house tours
