We are looking for someone that wants to brew and create "their beers" after they have a few house beers in place, i.e. Light, Fruit, IPA. If you want to experiment with beer and do something unique please apply. We have all the tools and are willing to improve any part of the system if it makes sense.
We are a small brewery that will get bigger in the future. We have a large restaurant that goes with the brewery and plan to expand into a larger brewery in the future. This is a working brewers brewery.
Responsibilities
Have fun and make good beers
Perform all daily duties but not limited to: brew house operations, tank and environmental cleaning, yeast handling.
Perform all maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
Perform all duties in a safe manner.
Work as scheduled or required for production.
Requirements
1 year Head Brewer experience, or 2+ years as a lead/assistant brewer and an interest in home brewing.
Formal training in brewing (Diploma or Master brewer) is an asset.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work on 1.5BBL/3BBL system
Ability to work in extreme cold/heat, and frequently wet conditions.
Work well within a team environment.
Able to work all shifts.
Attention to detail.
• Yeast management & Hop management, performing yeast cell counts and microbiological analysis
• Equipment maintenance
• Cask production
• Recipe Development and follow through
• Keeping the brewery clean and organized
• Working with others to refine standard operating procedures
• Consistently evaluating the quality of raw materials during everyday operations
• Making choices on beer styles, beer choices and purveyors
• Attendance at off-site promotional events.
