  • fermentation and music research

    Hi,

I am writing a piece "Brewhouse Rocks". There is a study citing 12% faster yeast replication when music is played to fermenting yeast over silence (Universary of Auckland, NZ).

    Q. Do you believe music playing in the process produces better beer? what do you play? Comment?

...John Harris told me there is no beer until The Grateful Dead is played.

    Thanks for input!

I think playing music makes better beer because the brewers are happier with music playing. I can still hear what I need to hear over music. As any brewer knows your ears are an important part of knowing whats going on in the brewery. We play just about everything but top 40.
