  • St. Pats of Texas

Has anyone else ever had a negative experience with St. Pats of Texas?? We just broke a sight glass and unfortunately have one from GW Kent and one from St. Pats. Called GW kent to get sizing and they were incredibly helpful in getting me the info they needed (even though it was listed on the website). Called St. Pats to get the same info on the replacement glass they carry and was cussed out and called a "fucking illiterate hillbilly" among other quite witty and terrible comments before being hung up on twice for asking what I would assume is a valid question about a piece of equipment they sell on a regular basis (also the sizing is NOT listed on the website). Yes, I had the same problem a year ago... but that was a year ago and information like that falls through the cracks. Anybody else out there have a similar experience?? Needless to say we will not be doing business with St. Pats again and will be advising the rest of the breweries in our area and on this forum the same. Wort customer service ever.

The masochist in me wants to give them a call with a problem just to experience it all first hand.

Maybe we can talk The Crank Yankers into doing a CD of just St. Pat calls. I know a few "satisfied" customers who would love to own a copy.

St Pats literally has the worst customer service of any business I have ever worked with or tried to work with. They clearly and admittedly hate dealing with breweries, so let's all stand together and NEVER EVER give St Pats another dime of our money. They don't deserve it. I won't order from them if they had the perfect item at a best price. I would rather give my business to a company that aren't complete A-holes.
GW Kent may not be perfect but at least I feel like they consider my business a value.

Long live high quality customer service!

I love that there are now like four threads on this topic.

Lynn, is a freaking wackjob. I dealt with her as a homebrewer when they were selling homebrew equipment and ingredients. You can search the hbd.org archives and find a miriad of bad experiences with her....including mine. She is psycho!

Just imagine how well that business would do with GREAT customer service. I wonder if their vendors get the same treatment?

all that being said, why on earth does St. Pats advertise in The New Brewer?
