  • Alternative to Strahman spray nozzles

We currently use these http://www.strahmanvalves.com/store/...es-nozzle.html or the equivalent (every time we've bought these, we get a slightly different product) for our wash-down nozzles. They're expensive, no longer rebuildable, and very handy for shooting one's self in the face with freezing/scalding water since the trigger is on the wrong side.

Anyone have a good alternative? I wouldn't balk at a structural plastic nozzle if it's sturdy and works well.

Thing is, you only shoot yourself in the face one time before you learn!

I just picked up a nice, light aluminum SuperKlean 150A from Amazon for ~$75, along with the parts to rebuild an old brass one. I have the parts to rebuild an old Spraying Systems Co CU-150 too. Grainger offers a Sani-Lav gun for $62 (item 1J439).

Those are all Strahman alternatives, but all Strahman-style. I rather like them, but perhaps not of use to you. I did hand the SuperKlean to my wife and she immediately pointed it at her face; I probably did that too...once.

        Thanks, folks.

My problem with the trigger on the Strahman isn't pointing it in my face, it's sitting it down or picking it up and hitting the trigger. There's a reason my guns have trigger guards!

The main thing that has me PO'd at Strahman is that the nozzle can no longer be rebuilt, and doesn't last worth a darn. I replaced the innards on our old ones several times (and relatively cheaply) before they finally died--mostly from being frozen. The newer ones we've bought just up and die in a few years, long before they get a chance to be frozen.

        Anyone used these: http://www.amazon.com/Dixon-DWG050-I...6BEZYD96CSV53F

They look pretty good, but I'll need to do some research.

Ah ok, you're using that one. With the trigger on the handle in the back. Try the deluxe model, I really like it http://www.strahmanvalves.com/store/...ay-nozzle.html
