  • Lifespan of brewery hoses?

We just purchased some new Unisource series 2720 hoses for the brewery, and will be buying more soon. These are the hydraulically-crimped ends. What is the average time in use for such hoses?

I suspect we've been using our hoses far past their "good by" dates. We run about 6-8,000 bbl/year, FWIW.

I've most recently used Goodyear White Flexwing hose with crimped ends from Associated Hose Products in PDX and tried to rotate them out in 3 years. AHP would engrave the service date on the crimped ends which made tracing them easy.
