    About Third Rail Beer
    Third Rail Beer is a young tenant brewery bringing thoughtful and interesting craft beers to leading craft establishments in New York City. We focus on bold flavors and put the brewing process and ingredients first. We are currently looking for a new member to our sales team who shares our passion for quality beer and New York City heritage.

    Position Overview
    • Third Rail Beer is looking for a Sales Manager to join our growing team in New York City.
    • This position represents an early member of company and will be a critical component of brand development.
    • As an integral contributor to the growth of Third Rail Beer, we expect the right candidate to demonstrate both leadership and sales capabilities, and to grow with us into an executive position.
    • Candidates who are a strong fit with our company culture will have experience in New York City craft beer sales and be passionate about transitioning to a smaller company where they can play a meaningful role.

    Responsibilities
    • Broaden the account portfolio in Manhattan and Brooklyn through deep knowledge of key craft beer buyers and venues.
    • Maintain and deepen existing account relationships to build long-lasting partnerships and trust in the brand.
    • Uphold and promote our brand focus of beer quality first, New York City locality, and respect for the craft beer community.
    • Develop sales contact strategies and a prioritized plan of attack.
    • Leverage experience in industry to generate accurate sales projections and goals.
    • Self-motivated to have constant presence in a territory with high account volume.
    • Occasional delivery of beer.

    Requirements
    • At least 1 year of experience in Manhattan or Brooklyn craft beer distribution or sales.
    • Existing relationships with New York City craft beer retailers and ability to quickly engage with a broad audience within the local craft beer community.
    • A social and extroverted personality that infects others with positivity and passion for great beer.
    • Highly persistent with excellent follow through and unwavering desire to get great craft beer to many local establishments.
    • Passionate and insightful about craft beer. Cicerone, BJCP, or similar a plus. You can eloquently describe all styles of craft beer in a discerning manner.
    • Extremely professional and communicative—you are proactive and self-driven while knowing when and how to leverage the executive team and report in.
    • Motivation and drive to reach outstanding goals.
    • Leader in alcohol responsibility with precaution above and beyond the requirements of the law.
    • Driver's license with clean motor vehicle record preferred.

    Compensation
    • Competitive compensation for this position is structured primarily in commission and experienced based base pay.
    • Profit sharing and promotion to executive leadership role opportunities with long term success.
