I just got a bill from the city. The bill is for "Engineering professional fees" for reviewing our permit request that was approved 6 months ago, for our small construction addition request. I guess part of the city ordinance says that the city can do this type of thing, but I thought they might give me a heads up before racking up charges. The fees ended up being about $600, so not terrible, but very unexpected and very late. Anyone ever deal with this before...
