Brewmaster wanted - Metro Milwaukee Wisconsin area
Where we come from:
We are a startup Microbrewery and restaurant that is located in the Metro Milwaukee Wisconsin area. We anticipate an opening of late 2015 which may move to early 2016, and are in the planning stages. Our current busines plans call for a 2-3bbl system with room for expansion within the first three years of operation. We are seeking an individual who has agreat taste and passion for beer as well as a drive to help us develop a great brewery that stands out! A good candidate will have commercial brewing experience, the same drive we have to develop a fantastic brewery as well as the the willingness to work with our startup through much of the planning process to ensrue we are setup for success. We have an anticipated location that we would like to go with, however, it will not be avaialable until the fall of 2015. With that, we would like to begin planning out the space and rennovations needed to ensure success for the brewery and restaurant. We anticipate holding a fulltime brewmaster on staff as well as a part-time assistant brewmaster, additional positions will open as production increases.
Details of the responsbilities:
• Ability to aid in the design of the brewhouse
• Ability to brew a consistent product
• Oversee operations of the brewhouse
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations and ensure a safe environment
• Work with suppliers to ensure appropriate inventory is on hand
• Record keeping of all beer produced as well as inventory control of all ingredients
• Work with ownership to develop and create desired beer styles
• Attend brewing events, competitions and conferences as needed
• Other various responsibilities as needed
Ideal Qualifications:
• Someone who works well with the team
• Experience in a Commercial brewing environment
• Candidates will have a great taste and vision for great beers
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to work with a startup business
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs frequently
