    Rubber glue roller vs. metal glue roller on cold glue labeler

    I am currently running an older Krones Supermatic labeler @ 150 bpm. We have had excessive wear on our rubber rollers forcing us to prematurely resurface them. I was thinking about converting the machine to metal glue rollers with rubber faced pallets. I was wondering if anyone has done this recently and could tell me some of the pro and cons that were encountered in doing this. Does it save glue?, is the wear on the pallets fast? ....
