  • Overseas freight!

    Hi all,
After importing small scale to Europe for many years things are now
moving "bigger". Distribution as always is the key and i have a
few questions on weight limits in 20 and 40ft containers.
Obviously one always have check with the sea carrier for shipment
over here but it is still quite confusing.
Obvioulsy it is vital to get as many cases into a container as possible.
    Any feedback would be great.
    Cheers
    Jorgen

      hi jorgen,

i know that when we send 1040 cartons in a 20foot sea container for export that is weighs about 15,000 kg (1040 x ~14.15kg/carton). i guess that this would make a 40foot container about 30,000kg. i don't know what the max load is - i'm sure any shipping company would be able to tell you.

      cheers,

      alex
