Job Overview
The Overnight Brewer Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Head Brewer in leading the brewing and packaging team for the assigned shift to produce top quality and consistent beer. The Overnight Brewing Supervisor will help oversee and manage the brewing team for the assigned shift, at the direction of the Head Brewer.
General Responsibilities
• Manage brewing and cellaring schedule in support of production needs. Oversee tasks performed by all brewing, cellaring, and packaging staff members
• Maintain quality assurance program to ensure that beers produced are consistent and of the highest quality
• Oversee staff development plans and support the continuing education of all production staff
• Ensure compliance with Mother Earth’s safety program at the brewery
• Maintain constant communication with operations management team on any issues and their development
• Continuously research, analyze, and recommend new and innovative processes and equipment that improve the quality or profitability of Mother Earth beer
• Support implementation of Mother Earth Standard Operating Procedures for all production processes, including brewing, cellaring, packaging, quality control, cleaning and sanitization
• Participate in Mother Earth events where needed and represent our brewery with professionalism and passion
Qualifications
• Ability to lead others in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive understanding of beer science, brewhouse, and cellar operations
• MUST be able to operate 3 vessel manual brewhouse and pressure leaf filter with very little training
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills
• Absolute passion for brewing and beer
• Ability to lift 55 pounds repetitively
• Forklift certified
Pay Scale
$19-$21/hr depending on qualifications and experience
