    We are currently looking for a Tour Center & Facility Operations Manager at our Angry Orchard Brewery in Walden, NY.

    The Tour Center & Facility Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and operating all business aspects of the Angry Orchard Tour Center, as well as general facility management for the property, and acting as site leader. This position is responsible for managing safety program, managing risk, and supporting other BBC departments (brand, sales) in the use of the Tour Center space. This position is also responsible for the strategic planning of the tour center and its programming, maximizing impact of the tour center in terms of attendance, experience and revenues, along with enhancing Angry Orchard craft credibility through the implementation of innovative ideas and projects. This position will be a key part of the Angry Orchard brand management team and require occasional travel to Boston for brand meetings, representation of the brand at festivals and other events, and visiting other tour centers to understand best practices.

    This position has dual reporting lines, primarily into Angry Orchard Brand Management and to Operations for facilities management and EH&S matters.

    What you’ll do:

    Facility Operations
    • Manages effective safety program for employees and maintaining safe conditions for everyone at the Cidery / Tour Center.
    • Trains, manages and keeps current on compliance related to alcohol/liability by following BBC protocol and legal regulations.
    • Responsible for all budgeting and financial reporting of the Angry Orchard Cidery / Tour Center including gift shop and tour center (and cider making functions), and TTB reporting.
    • Manages all systems such as building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, janitorial, security, fire protection, pest control, supplies and waste removal.
    • Monitors effluent and environmental concerns.
    • Responsible for warehouse management - organization of on and off -site storage space.
    • Responsible for management and execution of local events / festivals.
    • Assists legal department on an on-going basis regarding permitting and registration.
    • Manages relationship with residential property tenants, and local constituents.

    Tour Center
    • Manages planning and programming for tour center and tour programs to increase craft credibility, visitors, tour and sampling experience, and retail sales.
    • Develops, executes and evaluates promotional activity at the Angry Orchard Retail Shop in alignment with Company goals and strategies.
    • Works with Cider Maker to develop and sell Ciders to visitors, maximizing sales and profitability.
    • Responsible for providing daily, weekly and monthly reports to managers and to finance department as requested.
    • Supports internal/external Training Programs held at the Orchard.
    • Manages all cross-functional event activity at the Orchard, including but not limited to filming schedule, social media, and events with Brand, Sales and PR.
    • Manages charitable donations program.
    • Responsible for hiring and managing all staff including seasonal / temp Tour Center and Retail staff and cidery production support staff in conjunction with Head Cider Maker.
    • Sets tone, culture and model behavior for staff.

    Brand
    • Works with Angry Orchard Brand Team to implement creative programs at the Orchard.
    • Builds relationships and make Angry Orchard part of the local community (e.g., community organizations, non-profits, etc.).
    • Participates in market visits, events, and PR related activities as requested.

    What we’re looking for:

    Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 5-10 years in the Food & Beverage industry and/or Marketing Operations.
    • Experience in restaurant management or museum/tour center or event management, project planning, facilities management, budgeting and financial analysis, and promotions.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to project completion with strong results.
    • Must be highly organized, flexible, self-motivated and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
    • Must have proven inter-personal and communication skills. Proven ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven knowledge of facility operations.
    • Proven ability to make knowledgeable, quick decisions in a fast- paced environment.
    • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. POS System experience is a plus.
    • Clear communicator.
    • Budget experience.
    • Manager of people and relationships.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Experience with events a plus.

    Desired:
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, add value and provide action-oriented recommendations in-line with business objective.
    • Demonstrated ability to gather consumer insights through quantitative and qualitative market research and translate into action plans.
    • Previous management and scheduling experience.
    • Experience managing a community oriented hospitality business.
