Oskar Blues Brewery Brewhouse Assistant Position
Oskar Blues Brewery located in Longmont, CO is looking to add to its brewhouse team. The overnight brewer’s assistant is responsible for milling malt, weighing hops, and assisting with cips. This is an entry level position. The ideal CANdidate is someone with a strong back, thick skin, trainable and a fun person to be around. We like to make great can beer, work hard and play hard.
This is an entry level position posting.
Applicants must have:
• Manual labor work experience
• Strong mechanical background.
• Willingness to work at a VERY fast pace, yet be precise in your daily tasks.
• Positive attitude.
• STRONG communication skills.
• Flexible availability. Shifts will include overnights, nights, weekend nights, early mornings, etc...
• Avid Outdoor enthusiasm.
• Desire to learn.
• The ability to be a team player and be a self-starter
Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee to employ traditional lifting methods.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold.
• Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals.
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to work in a moderate noise level.
Extra Credit
• Good sense of humor
• Computer skills: using a mouse, typing with multiple fingers, MS Access, Excel, Outlook
• Formal brewing education
• Past graveyard experience
