Cooperage Brewing Company is looking for an experienced, energetic and engaging Tap Room Representative to help with our quickly expanding business. We are looking for a team player who would like to jump on board with an up-and-coming brewery as we move from direct-to-consumer business to distribution.

Cooperage Brewing Company is a craft beer microbrewery in Santa Rosa, Ca. Producing on a 15 bbl brewhouse, Cooperage sells both direct-to-consumer through the Tap Room and to on-premise accounts in the greater Bay Area. Cooperage Brewing Company strives for quality and excellence in each brew, specializing in sour and barrel aged beers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Tap Room Representative will host customers in our 140-guest tap room. He/she will represent Cooperage Brewing Company in an educated and professional manner. As the face of the brewery, the Tap Room Representative will communicate the values of the company through each encounter.
JOB DETAILS:
• Opening and closing procedures in the Tap Room
• Greet guests as they enter and host them throughout their visit
• Educate guests on beer styles, brewing, our beers and story, make recommendations when appropriate
• Utilize draught system to properly pour beers (5oz, 10oz, 13oz, 16oz)
• Utilization of POS System (Square) to make and process sales
• Cash handling
• Cellarman work to include: washing kegs, transferring tanks, cleaning lines, etc.
• Occasional tours of facility
• Occasional delivery of kegs
• Represent Cooperage Brewing Company at off-site events, festivals and pouring’s when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be a minimum of 21-years of age
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a brewery, beer bar or bar setting
• Must be able to multitask and remain calm in difficult situations
• Ideal candidate will be personable and relatable for our guests, but strong enough to say “no” when needed
• Must be able to work nights and weekends with a rotating schedule
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Willingness to work on and around potentially dangerous equipment/machinery is required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must have proficient computer skills
• Genuine appreciation for craft beer
