    About Appalachian Mountain Brewery
    Appalachian Mountain Brewery and Cidery is dedicated to making seriously delicious craft beer and ciders while focusing its business model on community, sustainability and philanthropy. Winner of numerous medals and awards, the Brewery brews and offers for sale many different craft beers and ciders. Its wholly-owned subsidiary FarmToFlame, LLC operates a food truck that features a unique wood fired oven in the truck, providing our customers with a casual dining experience that balances innovation and sustainability. Appalachian Mountain Brewery and Cidery makes a hard cider using third generation locally grown North Carolina apples. Both subsidiaries have received the prestigious official certification by ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project) for Western North Carolina grown and produced products.

    About the Job
    As the Brewery Accountant you will be reporting to the controller, becoming the second person within the accounting department. As the Brewery Accountant you will maintain business relationships with vendors, key partners, customers, and employees to ensure successful daily operations.

    Responsibilities
    • A/R, A/P Entries
    • Process Purchase Orders
    • Invoicing
    • Maintain Employee Files
    • General File Maintenance
    • Generate Reports
    • Daily Reconciliations
    • Internal Audits
    • Assisting the Controller with Various Tasks


    Requirement
    • Focus on sustainability, community, and philanthropy as you conduct daily business.



    Ideal Candidate
    • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
    • Good investigation, reconciliation, and auditing skills.
    • Strong MS Office, especially Excel, skills.
    • Highly organized and very detail oriented.
    • An excellent, persuasive verbal and written communicator who can forge effective relationships.
    • Working knowledge of GAAP.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
    • Two years of manufacturing accounting experience (Preferred)
    • Craft beer industry experience (Preferred)
    • OrchestratedBEER or SAP Business One experience (Preferred)
