Mikkeller, is seeking experienced brewery personnel.
Mikkel Borg Bjergsø’s new project has been dubbed Mikkeller Brewing San Diego and will mark the first-ever brick-and-mortar project for the Danish brewer.
We are in the process of building our team and are looking for brewery staff who want to grow with us. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and a very “Mikkeller” culture.
Responsibilities
We are specifically in search of Cellarpersons with the potential to advance to Brewer. He/She will be responsible for producing high quality beer while managing quality control, yeast management, filtration, and other cellar duties. Will also assist in the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of brewery equipment.
Responsibilities also include occasional participation in industry events such as beer festivals, beer dinners, and conferences.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have 1+ years experience in a commercial brewing operation. Certificate or Diploma from a Brewery School or equivalent combination of experience and education is helpful but not necessary.
• Requires solid knowledge of brewing techniques and brewery operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Must be able to follow Company safety procedures, policies, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Must have the ability to work with hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Must have the ability to lift 55 lbs regularly and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
