Position: Tasting Room Manager
Status: Full - Time
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Description – Ash & Elm Cider Co. is seeking a full-time Tasting Room Manager for our cidery. The Tasting Room Manager would work with leadership to ensure the tasting room is adequately scheduled and staffed, maintain an inviting space for guests to the cidery, and manage back-of-house operations to keep all aspects of the tasting room running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Required Experience – The ideal candidate for the Tasting Room Manager will have at least 1 year of experience working in the food and/or beverage industry. Experience changing over and cleaning draft lines is preferred. Applicants who have managed other people will be given preference. Food prep and kitchen experience are highly valued and are an important part of this job. Being personable and friendly with a variety of customers is integral to the position. Good communication skills and a willingness to work with others, as well as an interest in being a part of a small-business is also a requirement of the job.

- Create weekly tasting room staffing schedule
- Maintain a consistent presence behind the bar in the tasting room during hours of operation
- Create and manage opening and closing duties
- Maintain high standards of customer service, both personally and among tasting room staff
- Manage inventory for tasting room food menu
- Shop weekly for food items served in the tasting room
- Create and manage operational systems for the kitchen
- Perform weekly and daily food-prep duties
- Work with local partners to bring special events to the tasting room
- Organize events to bring new customers to the tasting room
- Manage tasting room staff
- Willingness to work on nights and weekends is required
