Wormtown Brewery is seeking multiple full time Packaging People- Worcester, MA
Wormtown Brewery in Worcester, MA is looking for packaging people. Wormtown Brewery opened up in the Spring of 2010 in a small 1000 barrel facility producing draft only beer. After winning awards at the GABF, World Beer Cup, GIBF, DIBC, USBTC, and becoming the 2014 US Open Grand National Champion a new facility opened in January of 2015. The new facility has a current capacity of 15000 bbls that is easily expandable to 30,000 bbls. The addition of a GAI 5000 series bottler at the new facility adds a new dimension to the rapidly expanding brewery. The utmost care and importance is being placed upon ensuring our bottled products are of comparable quality to our draft offerings.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Operation of GAI bottling line (including CIP and sanitation)
-Operation of CTM labelling machine
-Operation of IDD Squire Keg cleaner / Filler
-Hand pack cases of bottles and cans
-Inventory of all packaging materials
-Input and monitoring SOP’s
-Conduct preventative maintenance of packaging equipment
-Work with cellarperson to carbonate all beers
Requirements:
Attention to detail
Ability to work 8-10 hours during 1st and 2nd shift
Knowledge of brewing and beer packaging methods and techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Competence with all safety regulations
Must be able to lift 50# and move 150# regularly
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience
Stipend in tap room
Ability to attend industry events that benefit continued education in packaging
