historic floors

I was hoping someone could help me with an issue I am having. I am opening a new brewery and the building has historic tile floors. The only place I can put the packaging and keg washing area doesn't have any drains. Instead of trying to get permission to put drains in, I am trying to think of another way to protect the floor and have it drain without digging. Has anyone had an issue like this? I don't want to hurt the floors but am stuck trying to use that space. I have a couple ideas of what I could do, but wanted to see what other ideas people may have. Anything is appreciated.
