Five Boroughs Brewing Co. is a New York City brewery and taproom opening soon in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. We produce high-quality craft beers that embody the dynamic spirit of New York City, a place where aspirations are limited only by what you are able to brew up in your head. Five Boroughs Brewing Co. aims to celebrate and encourage the exploration of craft beer and all the wonders the five boroughs of New York City have to offer. Although we’re only just starting to produce and package beer in the heart of Sunset Park, the Five Boroughs brewery and taproom will also serve as a full-scale events space.
We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Sales Manager to join our startup brewery in the greater New York City area. The new Five Boroughs team member will be instrumental in helping us build a community where all New Yorkers can celebrate what makes this city incredible over great craft beer. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a brewery on the ground level and assist in bringing that brewery to life!
Duties will include the following:
• Grow, manage, lead and motivate sales team
• Assist in strategic planning and new market launch plans
• Build and execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales plans
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key retailers/accounts both on and off premise
• Represent the brewery at festivals, tastings and events
• Manage POS & execute marketing strategy
• Manage all distributor relationships in coordination with Operations Manager
• Build, implement and execute sales presentations to distributor
• Analyze monthly distributor depletion reports
The ideal candidate:
• Will possess a strong understanding of the craft beer industry (NYC beer scene a plus!)
• Must have a strong knowledge of beer styles and relevant market dynamics
• Must have a flexible work schedule
• Must be highly organized and have strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing a sales team
• Valid driver license, excellent driving record and a reliable automobile
• Collaborative spirit with a hands-on attitude and a strong work ethic
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• Ability to handle and maneuver 30lb. cases and 165lb kegs
• Familiarity with OrchestratedBeer brewery software
