Brewing at Lagunitas is interesting. But we keep it interesting-er by keepin’ you moving around. Brewers at Lagunitas Brewing Company will rotate through the brewhouse, cellar, and filtration:
- In the BrewHouse, the brewer is responsible for monitoring all aspects of wort production in a Rolec 250 BBL BrewHouse as well as transitioning the batch into fermentation.
- In the Cellar, the brewer is responsible for the key activities that bring wort to finished mature beer.
- In filtration, the brewer is responsible for clarifying the mature beer and bringing it within specification for packaging.
What we're lookin' for:
- Must have the ability to complete a variety of brewing calculations.
- A strong working knowledge of CIP, COP, and sanitizing principles.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of craft beer and the brewing process.
- Experience working with a 50 BBL or larger brewing system.
- Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation and distribution, industrial refrigeration and sanitary process piping and systems strongly preferred.
- Passion for Lagunitas and the craft beer industry.
Physical Requirements: Standing and walking during entire shift; Lifts and carries supplies, cases up to 50 lbs.; Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, carries; Forklift/pallet jack proficiency required.
