Hello! I am trying to figure out the best way to brew a small batch (or maybe a few small batches) of beer in order to test the market with our recipe before we devote our time and money to building our own brewery. We would like to do this via Contract brewing.
I spoke with the OLCC and they were confused by the concept of Contract brewing and they thought that there was a major issue with distributing a single brand of beer as it could be considered a tied house.
Has anyone contract brewed in Oregon or faced a similar law in another state? The OLCC suggested AP brewing, which we are open too, but we would prefer contracting for the ease and timeline advantages.
