This position is responsible for the oversight of production brewing activity on a daily basis. It is a full-time position based in Holland, MI. Passion for our brands and our company is part if the job; brewing great beer is the other part of the job.

Duties
- Manage and lead day to day brewhouse operations including supervision of Brewers.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture through use of KPIs.
- Ensure that all beer is produced according to defined quality standards and specifications.
- Meet production goals and standards while managing manufacturing costs.
- As needed, be able to assist with hands on relief with all brewhouse operations.
- Ensure safe brewhouse operation including enforcement of lock out tag out, PPE, operation of powered industrial equipment, machine guarding, facility order and cleanliness, hazardous material handling, etc.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate levels of raw material inventory in a brewing worthy condition.
- Ensure that all transactions are properly entered in a timely manner to OrchestratedBEER.
- Manage Timeclock, PTO and scheduling of brewhouse team.
- Follow, improve upon and create brewing SOP’s.
- Conduct interviews, hiring, discipline and management of entire brewing team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Technical brewing knowledge including operational understanding of:
- Brewhouse operation
- Hot liquor tanks
- Mash
- Lauter
- Boil
- Whirlpool
- Heat exchanger
- Filtration systems:
- DE
- Plate and Frame
- Cartridge
- Pasteurizer
- Brewing and packaging theory.
- Supervisory experience in a brewery preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with all organizational levels.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Able to lift 50# from the floor to over the head repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Able to work in environments of heat, cold, and humidity.
- Ability to work in confined spaces when required.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability.
- Knowledge of PLCs and automated brewing processes.
- Achievement or plans to obtain certification equivalent to IBD Diploma in Brewing or Master Brewer.
- Must be able to work any shift for employee issues, emergencies or to cover temporary needs.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience and/or relevant college degree.
