    Cellar Master Position Opening


    What we want:

    We are looking to add a Cellarmaster to our production team! Our cidery is located across the river from the Metro North (Beacon Station) in Newburgh, NY. The Cellarmaster will be responsible for all aspects of production which include receiving receipt of raw materials to the delivery of finished product ready for packaging. This position is responsible for assisting in all other areas of the cidery (packaging, canning, kegging, forced carbonation, etc.) The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, positive, organized individual who has a knack for troubleshooting and problem solving.


    Prerequisites:

    Production
    • (Minimum) 1 year of beverage fermentation production such as beer/ cider/ wine,
    • Experience operating canning line,
    • Experience cleaning & filling kegs,
    • Efficient in operating glycol systems,
    • CIP
    • Education & Skills
    • High school diploma,
    • Comfortable utilizing computer systems, specifically Google Drive/ Google Docs/ Sheets/ G-Mail, etc.,
    • Have the ability to receive written/ oral instructions/ tasks, execute said tasks and if need be problem solve with minimal assistance.


    Personal
    • Clean and valid driver’s license,
    • Ability to work rotating shifts and adjust schedule to meet production demands,
    • Dedication to meet all deadlines,
    • Ability to work both independently and with a team,
    • Mechanical aptitude and creativity,
    • Desire to learn all things fermented!



    Job Tasks (include but not limited to):
    • Management of raw material inventory
    • Monitoring of fermentation and quality control parameters,
    • Juice, yeast, hop, fruit and adjunct additions to tanks and products in process,
    • Collaborate with head cider crafter, Kyle Sherrer, on specialty/ small batch products,
    • Packaging of kegs, cans & bottles
    • CIP of tanks, equipment, canning line, hoses, etc.,
    • Maintain an immaculately clean and safe work environment,
    • Facility upkeep and maintenance,
    • Record keeping,
    • On-going assessment of SOP.

    Compensation:
