Why do you need ASME certification ?
- Some manufacturers say that it is designed to safely handle xx psi pressure but not certified, because ASME has strict certrifcation requirement, and not every pressure vessel manufacturer is up to standard.
- Without a pressure certification, it is illegal to operate the tank above 1 atmosphere (14.7 psi). If without ASME U stamp certification and an accident occurs, you would have very high liability for damages.
- ASME offers certification to companies in the pressure equipment industry to certify their quality control systems comply. Products manufactured by ASME BPVC Certificate Holders are certified and stamped with the Certification Mark in accordance with the applicable ASME BPVC Section.
