    Cellar Technician


    Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, CT is seeking an individual to join the brewing team. This position requires at least 1 year of working brewery experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brewing fundamentals and a variety of experience. Direct experience with filtration or separation technology is required.     The primary responsibility of the Cellar Technician is to provide support to the rest of the production staff for the assigned shift. The Cellar Technician must coordinate with the Brewing and Packaging staff to effectively manage the processing of beer to meet the demands of the production schedule. This position requires working on a rotating 24x7 schedule.


    REPORTS TO: Assistant Brewer & Shift Supervisor

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ● Run beer separation under the supervision of the Assistant Brewer and perform routine sensory and quality analysis on finished beer in process.

    ● Run cellar operations including CIP, dry hopping, transfers, and barrel and firkin racking.

    ● Ensure that the cellar is clean and organized at all times.

    ● Coordinate with the Assistant Brewer to ensure that beer required for packaging is ready when needed.

    ● Coordinate with Brewers to ensure that tanks will be ready for wort or beer when needed.

    ● Coordinate with the Brewers to load grain, sugars, or other brewhouse additions to meet the demands of the brewing schedule.

    ● Complete all work according to Two Roads SOP’s and safety programs.

    ● Report required maintenance.

    ● Monitor chemical, PPE inventory, and raw material inventory.

    ● Report to the Shift Supervisor to ensure a complete information pass-on at each shift change and a smooth shift transition for the incoming production team.

    ● Ensure that all production data is logged in the appropriate place(s).
