    OVERVIEW:

    The Draft Technician is a key position at Fort Point Beer Company, a fast growing self-distributed brewery in the Presidio of San Francisco. Draft Technicians ensure the product we brew and distribute tastes its best for our loyal customers. This position conducts scheduled cleanings, maintenance, and troubleshooting of designated draft lines at current accounts across the Bay Area. To be successful at this position, you will need to have a high attention to detail, exemplary problem solving skills, and a dedication to quality craftsmanship.

    PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Facilitate line cleaning and system repair at almost 300 bar, restaurant and retail account assignments
    • Act as front line of communication in the field for customer concerns and the service of our product
    • Coordinate on-site invoicing and payment with customers if needed
    • Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle and restock necessary parts & chemicals on a daily basis
    • Log all services conducted while on the job using internal apps
    • Relay information back to dispatch or manager on a regular basis


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    The ideal Draft Technician is both an experienced workhorse and an excellent communicator: must thrive managing a full day of line cleaning and maintenance logistics while also providing seamless, friendly communication on behalf of our brewery. Work ethic and drive will be more important than experience for this job; we're happy to teach the right candidate all the technical skills needed to succeed and grow in this field.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must be 21 years or older
    • Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record
    • Ability to safely move full keg (180lbs)
    • Ability safely to lift 50 lbs
    • Basic math skills


    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Problem solving skills
    • Courteous, professional and polished demeanor
    • Passion for beer and the growing craft beer industry


    HOURS:
    • 8am - 4:30pm / Monday - Friday
    • Some flexibility and opportunity for overtime
    • This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position
