  • General Sales Manager Needed!

    We are looking for an energetic, team-driven, master of sales to lead our team!

    The General Sales Manager is responsible in developing and driving sales and marketing activities with our distribution channel partners. This position is responsible for all activities related to quota attainment as well as the overall channel marketing plan which is measured by ROI analysis, market share and KPI achievement. The GSM works closely with supplier partners and other departments including marketing, operations, finance and executive. The GSM will develop relationships at key accounts with personnel including buyers, marketing managers, and where appropriate, executive staff.

    Essential Roles and Responsibilities

    • Management of all supplier relationships, to include developing and implementing annual sales plans with each supplier
    • Manage the Sales Management team at CSA, to include but not limited to establishing goals, tracking accomplishments, and holding staff accountable
    • Builds a company culture that recruits, retains and supports quality staff in a relaxed but professional atmosphere working with HR to develop, motivate, and evaluate staff
    • Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals
    • Development of business plan with sales management team for weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic sales objectives
    • Creation, management, and execution of CSA Sales Budget in conjunction with the CFO
    • Prepare annual and quarterly channel marketing plans in line with CSA Business strategies and focus, working closely with the Crooked Stave Marketing team
    • Execute agreed programs with partner suppliers and implement the execution of marketing plans
    • Tactical execution of marketing events across target partners; track and analyze performance of executions
    • Advise CSA/CS business units on current issues relating to performance across the distribution channel
    • Liaise with customer Business departments on execution issues related to marketing programs and develop resolutions that are mutually beneficial
    • Provide quarterly ROI analysis on past performance, and report to Executive management
    • Perform periodic review of channel programs and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of programs
    • Summarize distribution channel sales and marketing expenditures and prepare annual and quarterly budget overviews for entire calendar year
    • Forecast future market trends to include, analyzing depletion and shipment trends
    • Provide management with market intelligence including sales trends, product developments and competitor activity, and recommend strategies to address these trends.
    • Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of all product

    Important Skills and Abilities

    • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and nonverbal communications
    • Experience and continued knowledge of understanding in the craft beer market, and ability to integrate into sales strategy
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with suppliers, along with follow-up and closing skills
    • Strong working knowledge of computers including Internet, Microsoft Office, Inventory software and Automation systems. Must be comfortable working with emerging technologies
    • Ability to positively represent the organization during workdays, as well as outside of work at industry events
    • Ability to collaborate and work well with management, peers and across functions.
    • Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into practical execution
    • Strong troubleshooting skills, strong work ethic and be able to work within a team AND independently with a great attitude
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills



    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business required
    • Minimum six (6) years experience in sales and strategy
    • Minimum four (4) years experience in developing, leading, and supervising a staff
    • Willingness to travel for up to a week away from home and work out of normal hours
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
    • Love and passion for craft beverages and food is a must!

    This is a full-time exempt position for the purposes of federal wage-law and will not be eligible for overtime pay for hours actually worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. Regular business days and hours of work Monday through Friday are expected, with work in the evenings and weekends as needed.
