    Inventory Spread Sheet

Would you mind sharing that spreadsheet with me as well? I have been trying to manage my raw materials inventory for future orders and I am striking out on the efficiency of my system.

    The Best System

Back in the mid 1980s I worked for a very Successful Restaurant Corporation that later underwent a hostile takeover.
They inventoried everything in the house EVERY DAY, all the way down to operating supplies, china, and glassware.
I worked for other outfits and took this method with me, as it was the best in the trade.
It was made quite simple by perfect organization.
The Stock room, and all storage in the entire operation was perfectly organized and layed out where an inventory could be done quickly of EVERYTHING.
The Control Forms ran exactly in the order of the shelves, so essentially it was right down the line and easy.
No matter what you are going to input into a computer, the necessity of this scheme cannot be understated.
The failure of most people to be able to engage inventories, is the fact that they are not organized and do not understand the necessity of high levels of order with respect to business.
Everything is in perfect order and contains all necessary data regarding each entry on the control form.
The control forms in this case were regenrated monthly. The Spreadsheet in itself does not make things easier in real terms.
    Its starts with the basics.
