    TAP ROOM MANAGER

    The Tap Room Manager at Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is responsible for leading a professional team of bartenders that create an engaging experience for customers and guests. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential, in addition to administrative and financial knowledge that ensures efficient and profitable tap room operations. Opportunity for personal, professional, and sales growth is tremendous. The Tap Room Manager will work with the Speakeasy team to re establish the facility as a unique and vibrant place for craft beer fans to visit and enjoy in San Francisco.

    Hours: Full-time
    Reports to: Director of Brand Strategy & Media

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    - Interview, hire, train, and schedule tap room staff.
    - Maintain draft system and refrigeration equipment.
    - Order beer and maintain inventory.
    - Manage point of sale system.
    - Develop promotions and sales goals.
    - Generate monthly and yearly sale reports.
    - Design, develop, and host tap room events.
    - Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
    - Recruit and schedule food vendors.
    - Facilitate tap room rentals and buyouts.
    - Manage merchandise inventory.
    - Oversee brewery tours and schedule tour guide staff.

    NECESSARY SKILLS & EXPECTATIONS

    - Highly focused on customer experience and engagement.
    - Knowledge of the craft beer industry, brewing process, service, and beer styles.
    - Management and leadership to build, maintain, and drive tap room staff to excel.
    - Strong multi-tasking, administrative, and financial management capabilities.
    - Solid problem solving and proactive decision-making.
    - Draft system troubleshooting and repair.
    - Experience working with and maintaining a POS system.
    - Professional demeanor, integrity, and responsible beer consumption.
    - Can adapt to a flexible work schedule, working nights and weekends as necessary.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    - Lifting and moving packaged beer or kegs that weigh up to 160 lbs.
    - Continuous standing, frequent bending, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders.

    COMPETITIVE CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS

    - 2-3 years of experience in a similar or related role that demonstrates management.
    - Enthusiasm for customer engagement and education.
    - Level 2 Cicerone Certification or higher a plus.
