Naked Brewing Company, located in Huntingdon Valley, PA (Philadelphia suburb), is a 5-year old 7BBL production brewery and taproom. We are currently looking to add to our team with a head brewer. The head brewer will be expected to work both in a team environment and autonomously. The ideal candidate should match the following job requirements and be able to adapt to the following job responsibilities:
The Head Brewer is…
• Responsible for all of the brewing and cellaring processes
• Responsible for quality control in all facets of the brewing and cellaring processes
• Expected to work as part of a team in planning and scheduling production
• Expected to brew current recipes, but also expected to let their craft brewing art fly with the creation of new recipes
• In control of all facets of our souring program
• Manager of materials, including working as part of the team in ordering raw materials, setting up hop contracts, ordering equipment needed, etc…
• Responsible for quality brewing records and upkeep of those records
• Very familiar with all cellar operations and obsessively familiar with sanitation procedures
• Expected to have brewed on a production system for at least 2 years
• Highly organized with the ability to communicate effectively
• Part of the hiring team for future assistant brewer positions (gets to build own team)
• Able to adapt and improvise when needed
• Expected to do all of the physical things that a brewer would do without limitations
• A true problem solver who can multi task and has insane attention to detail
