Tin Man Brewing Company, located in Evansville, Indiana, is looking for a passionate, full-time brewer to assist in the operations of this unique and fun brewery. We are a small operation that has been open for 4 years, so we’re looking for someone that can work all aspects of the brewing process, from recipe development, to packaging, to representing the brewery at festivals and events. We only ask that you have a years worth of professional brewing experience and/or a brewing degree from an accredited school (and having a love of robots and all things nerdy doesn’t hurt either).
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Wort production on our 17bbl brewhouse that utilizes a mash filter
Cellar operations
Yeast management
Keg washing/filling
Canning line operation
General maintenance
Cleaning/sanitizing (CIP/SIP)
Raw materials management
Collaborating on recipe development with fellow brewers
Representing the Brewery in the tasting room, for tours, and at outside events/festivals
Must be able to or have:
Previous work experience in a commercial brewery
Brewing degree (preferred)
Previous experience operating a forklift (preferred)
Willing to be flexible with work schedule
Ability to stand, crouch and walk for long periods of time
Ability to work in noisy, hot/cold and wet environments
Ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height repeatedly
Ability to lift 160 lbs. to waist height
Basic computer skills – MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Google calendars
