Job Description
Responsible for developing and maintaining good relationships with distributor personnel and retailers, and growing the volume and profitability in the geographical area you are assigned to.
Job Functions:
• Develops and maintains relationships with distributor middle management and sales personnel.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key retailers in assigned areas.
• Communicates setbacks, successes and progress toward goals to brewery personnel in written and verbal format.
• Conducts beer tastings, special events and attends festivals.
• Educates wait staff and customers about Goat Island Brewing products.
• Is meticulous with documenting the ABC required, and brewery required paperwork required.
• Manages the sale and inventory of GIB gear at special events and festivals.
Qualifications:
Education: Marketing degree (associate or bachelors) preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years relevant sales experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Microsoft office proficiency
- Social media tools
- Craft beer styles and stories
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions:
- Events are often on weekends and evenings during the week.
- Some overnight travel is required.
