Job Description:
Two Brothers Brewing Company, a 20+ year old craft brewery in Illinois, is seeking an experienced brewer to run brewing operations at Two Brothers Tap House in Scottsdale and Sleepy Dog Brewing Company in Tempe. This position requires a person with a passion for producing high quality beer and a desire to be an onsite brand ambassador. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of professional brewing experience, a desire to innovate and create good clean beer, and the ability to manage two small breweries. Responsibilities:
-All aspects of brewhouse and cellaring operation at two small breweries
-Package draft beer for local distribution
-Recipe development – Creating new and interesting rotating in house recipes and working with other TBBC/SDBC brewers to develop and maintain core brands
-Recordkeeping – Brewhouse Records and Inventory Reporting
-Basic lab work
-Create a safe and efficient work environment (including documentation) with an emphasis on OSHA compliance
-Proper use and handling of chemicals
-Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of brewery equipment
-Knowledge sharing of beer and brewing with our restaurant guests and staff
-Weekly attendance at restaurant manager meetings and communication with Warrenville
-Participation in beer events, festivals, customer relations, and marketing events
Candidate should also exhibit the following knowledge and abilities:
-Time management, task prioritization, production schedule and staff trainings
-Support and interact with guests and management
-Lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder height in excess of 30 times per day
-Climb stairs and ladders in excess of 30 times per day
-Exceptional record keeping skills
-Able to work on your feet for long periods of time in wet, hot, and cold environments
-Candidates MUST HAVE at least two years professional brewing experience
