Catawba Brewing in downtown Asheville, NC (Banks Avenue taproom) is looking for a part-time bar back who is also open to picking up bartending shifts in the future. We are a growing, family-owned craft brewery with two Asheville taprooms, a Charlotte brewery and taproom, and a Morganton brewery and taproom. Job Description: Bar Back
Work Schedule: Friday & Saturday 4 to close
Reports to: Shift Manager
Duties:
Clean and maintain service area
Clear, clean, and reset tables in a timely manner
Collect dirty glassware from all common areas and properly clean and distribute
Check bathrooms for cleanliness and supplies
Observe and report activity in common areas if necessary
Interact with customers in the common areas
Be knowledgeable of beer brands and be able to answer questions
Know list of prefered partners for food and delivery
Sell merchandise when the opportunity arises
Assist bartenders when necessary
Change kegs
Pour flights or pints
Assist with cleaning after service
Qualifications:
Beer Server Certification (Cicerone) Recommended
Craft beverage knowledge and certificates prefered
Must be able to stand and move for long periods
Must be able to lift 80 lbs
Must be 21 years of age or older
