Just asking to see if I have nailed the issue:
I have some 2015 crop year amarillo and 2016 centennial, stored at YCH for years, in my cold room at 38F for a few months.
I dry hopped our IIPA and everything was fine. I have dry hopped other beers with the same centennial with no similar flavors. Haven't used the old Amarillo for anything else, which is why I'm focusing on that.
After about 4 weeks in the package I started getting this wicked pineappple flavor. Not terrible, does not appear infected (crystal clear, no extra carbonation).
Packaged in multiple sixtels and half barrels. None of them had issues and now all the remaining kegs do.
Anyone experience similar flavors from old hops? Maybe it's something else?
